The modification of the S5 UIM in my picture was so I could bolt it to the S4 LIM. Make sure you get the S5 primary rail too.

i dont need the secondary then? just primary, and will i need vac hose to do this? i mean i put silicone vac hoses on whole car but was a little short, so buying some more wouldnt hurt my feeling as when i have the tp off im going to change all the rest that were hiding.

RotaryRocket88 01-12-11 10:56 AM

No, you need both rails.

Yes, you need lots of 3.5mm vacuum hose.

canonize-ryda 01-12-11 05:32 PM

can i use 4mm? thats what i used when i put red silicone in

RotaryRocket88 01-12-11 05:35 PM

Yes, but 3.5mm fits better. Given it's NA, the 4mm is fine, but I wouldn't use it in a turbo application.

Silicone lines are slicker than rubber, I used little zip-ties on all my vac ports when I removed emissions and replaced vac hoses (all 3 of them) with silicone. I figured, it couldn't hurt.
