Lucas Oil
Is the lucas oil for the injector's and oil cleaner recommended for rotarys
|
It's not recommended on any car.
The injector cleaner will basically do nothing. The oil additive will cause oil starvation and engine damage. |
wow, thanx, didnt know that
|
As a general rule, all additives are crap. :) Water-Wetter and some injector cleaners are the exceptions.
|
yea, and remember, we burn oil on purpose.
lucas is thick and nasty and probably not that flammable |
I've heard it works well for boingers, though.. I'm keeping it out of my 13b :)

I've heard that if you insist on using an injector cleaner, the chevron
is the one to use. Pretty expensive, though. |
I used to work at an oil change shop and have seen many vehicles that run Lucas come in. Most of them had a nice thick puddle of it sitting in the head right under the filler cap. It is too thick for most oil pumps to properly cycle through the system, so it just sits there doing nothing.

the only way i see lucas or other oil additives doing any good are if you are running full premix (have the OMP gone) |
