LSD rear end

Hello,
does any body know how much horsepower a turboII Limited Slip rear end can handle. Also how do you identify a turboII Limited Slip rear end. And how good are they?

Thanks

Doing stupid stuff with it - it cannot handle stock power levels.
Babying it - it can handle 700+.

The limit doesn't really have anything to do with the LSD itself.
It had to do with how much shock you give it - this has more to do with what kinda tires you're running.
Skinny street tires are just going to spin.
Slicks are going to hurt.

If you're doing drag racing, why the fuck would you run stock shit in the first place?

I think they can handle a lot, considering I heard that FD guys swap them in. I could be wrong though.

My car is an 89 GTX with an open diff because it was automatic and n/a. Now it's a HBP T2. I bought a brand new S4 LSD clutch-type diff from Mazda and now I'm looking for axles and I'm debating if I should get an LSD unit. Either KAAZ or Mazdaspeed.
But my question is: How much hp or trq can the stock S4 T2 axles support until they brake

Why are people threadjacking???

It depends on how much traction you have, and how much shock you put the stuff through as ReTED has already mentioned.

You can break them with under 400HP on slicks. They will work forever on street tires.

Southbend (yes the one that sells clutches) will cryno treat your parts. I wonder if doing that will be of some benefit? Aaron care to answer? Maybe RETed?

Anyone here care to answer Mr.FC3s question ?
