does that sock filter have the plastic skeleton around it?

JWteknix 10-18-12 05:04 PM

yes, I ordered it from the link bluetii sent me to at the beginning of the thread, it has the skeleton on the inside of the sock, this filter with the plastic adaptor makes it impossible to suck up the sock. Also made this way, i didnt have to mess with hose, a bracket, or mounting. the -an fittings hold it together firmly, this top I made today it took me 20min at work unlike my last top which took me forever.. i just grinded down the spot welds that hold the bracket in place cut off and grinded the pump outlet tub then expanded the hole to fitt the bulkhead,

im using the jayracing sock, might be the same one

JWteknix 10-18-12 05:28 PM

possibly It looks the same I bought it with the plastic adaptor

bitch with mine was finding a wrench to fit it, luckily for me a wrench for one of my DA sanders fit it perfect, its too thin for regular wrenches

JWteknix 10-18-12 05:46 PM

my filters removable why not just use a socket? i just used a pair of pliers on mine

dont think the filter is removable on the jayracing, at least I didnt try to remove it
an wrench probably fits it.
