Lowering Driver seat help
 

Hey guys, I have been searching this on here and other sites for a while and have found nothing helpful really besides how to get the seat to slide back farther. I own an 89 vert and am 6'4 300+ lbs so most people are gonna say youre f@@@ed, just to big, but I know there has got to be a way to get the seat lower by a couple inches. Whether it be mounting it straight to the floor or using a certain type of bracket..i.e. the low one that bride has or using a side mount. I dont care what I have to do and if fabrication is involved let me know as I am a welder/metal fabricator by trade. Please help me fit into my dream car and get this seat low lol. Thanks in advance. If you have a link to a thread I overlooked please post it.

Hey there mate, iv got the same problem but my fc is a drift car but ill be getting club reg on it!, but what Im doing that allows me to bolt off the floor is reweld some some 10 to 6mm plate from my tunnel to my door sil! but that's abit of a job :p but that's what I'm doing if it helps at all because that's what I'm doing ill send you Afew photos once I do it

Thank you for responding. That is going to be the purpose of this car. Drifting with the occasional road use to go to meets and such. Pics would be greatly appreciated so I can see how you're going about this. Again thank you.

well ill be sure to get back to you when i get around to doing it, atleast you know if you crash the seat wont be ripped out of the cars floor and you go flying :P

The rmagic rail sits the seat as low as it will go. My seat is on the floor pan using that rail.

Hits the tunnel side first as there is a lump in the floor pan.

At 194cm tall I don't even have the rail set all the way back either.

I just bought the planted brackets and the driver side sits very low but the passenger side sits very high. Both sit very close to the front of the car so you will need to be short or use sliders but that will make the seat taller.
