Low Idle - Fix
 

Well, I picked up my FC on friday near Pasadena, CA. Drove it about 750 miles home (brief detour to the SF Bay Area)... awesome car. I'm in love : )

Only problem is that she idles *really* low.... maybe 300 or 350 RPM. She's also a bit of a bitch to get started... I have to floor/and or pump the throttle while cranking the engine. I think this is because of the low idle setting not giving the car enough gas to start. I know there's an idle control screw somewhere in the engine bay, but all my friends here have stripped engine bays, where as mine is quite crowded... so I'm not sure where to look for it.

So, question is, where is the idle control screw on an 89 TII, and how do I adjust it?

Well on my 89 N/A it is right there where your good ole fuel ingection system is. Hold on let me riffle through Haynes and see where it is specifically...well I'll be damned, mine is on top of the throttle body, which means mine is right next to where it says 13b blabla. Anyway you can adjust yours on your BAC valve. So all you need to do is kick the blind cap from the BAC and there should be a nice looking air adjust screw. However, does this mean my N/A doesn't have a BAC? I am pretty sure it does but I can't find it. Little help please?

If you have a BAC it will be on the passenger side of the engine, lonf tube looking thing with a bunch of hoses hooked up to it. I think my intercooler is in the way of my throttle body though.

Anyone with a TII have any tips?

New info. I went down to Kragen, looked at the Chilton's manual for my car. The Air adjust screw is on the outboard side of the BAC. It doesnt say which way to turn it, but using logic, I figure moving the screw out (turning it left) should allow more air past, raising the idle. So I did this, and the idle didnt change at all. Was I sopposed to tighten the screw to raise the idle? Could this be something with my throttle body?
