Low Coolant light & Buzzer!!

Today when taking a short trip (35 miles) the low coolant light came on with an annoying buzzer sound. My temp was not even halfway & I have checked the coolant level and found it to be just fine. The buzzing went off momentarily when pushing in the clutch and coasting, but would come back on after a few seconds. It would also quit buzzing when I came to a stop, but only for a few seconds and would then start buzzing again. It has never done this before. On the way home from work it didn't buzz at me at all. Anyone know why it would do this? Please help as I don't think I can take any more of this annoying sound. Where is the sensor for the coolant lever at and how do I disconnect the buzzer?

my car did the same thing. The buzzer started going off, so I pulled into a gas station and checked my coolant. It was full. I thought my sensor bad. The buzzer would come on and go off randomly.

Turns out I had a small leak on the coolant line behind the throttle body that goes under the intake manifold and into the block. Keep checking your fluid and look for coolant leaks.

Hope this helped. :)

Thanks for the reply. I did have a coolant leak about two weeks ago. Same hose you described, right under the intake. I fixed that and filled the radiator, but I failed to open the bleeder plug. Once I did this the coolant level dropped a little (to fill the air pocket) and then I re-filled again and so far no problem. Must have been air in the system. Oh well.........at least the buzzing stopped! Wow is that sound annoying!!!:D

We have the buzzer problem but we also have a little white smoke in the exhaust ...sometimes. Otherwise she runs great!

Do you have any smoke?

No. I don't have any smoke at all. If you are starting to see a little white smoke, then you are burning a little coolant from somewhere. Could mean bad news for your engine!

Only smokes at very low revs. Hoping to get to winter and then we'll replace the engine. Car is in great shape with 260k.

Cheers

WELL FIRST DID YOU CHECK THE AIR bleed!

fill it again if it the buzzers goes off again then you got a blown seal or like i had part of the casting gave way around the smallest area of the water jacket ,the car ran great this started to happen to me right after i took the 6 ports off and clean everything on my intake ,was great then i started havening buzzers alerts ,when we got around to the rebuild low and behold the casting gave way .....new housing grrr but hey now i have a race port and a whole lot of other goodies hehehe
