Looking for some quiet mufflers..

Right now i believe i have an RB exhaust.
I was thinking about buying 2 mufflers that are near the stock noise level and welding them on.
Right now i just think my exhaust is to loud.
Can anyone throw me in the right direction for where to start looking?:D

Can i just pick these up at the Mazda Dealership?
I imagine they want an arm and a leg..

Could i get them anywhere else?

Any mufler shop will sell OEM muflers

EDIT: at OEM prices, not dealer prices

Thanks

mm, and racing beat are technicaly near stock for dB levels... (at leat the catback). If you're running headers and straights, its different.

Humm...
Well i don't have any cats.
It looks like either a 3" or 2.5" downpipe, pre-silencer and then splits to two 2.5" pipes to the mufflers.

Does that include the RB pre-silencer or the origonal cats?
Stock iron box collector or a header?
The above items make a huge difference in sound level.

The reason I ask is: no muffler will quiet an NA rotary with a header & straight pipe.

Haven't really looked at the headers but i would imagine they would be stock. Yes i believe it is the RB Pre-silencer (atleast that is what i was told when i bought the car).

So -
Stock collector = some quiet
Downpipe/no cats = much loud
Pre-silencer = some quiet
Dual mufflers = some quiet

You're right - bigger quieter mufflers should make it more gentlemanly.

(And you can sell the used RB's)

It is my from my car, OEM rear was louder then the RB rear canisters. exhuast consists of down pipe, high flow cat, and 2" y-pipe. These are the new style RB canisters.
