Thats a beautiful car except for those awful wheels! Just think, someone bought those and thought..."damn those are gonna look sweet on my FC!"

SonicRaT 08-25-02 04:08 AM

Nothing like a series 5 turbo II :) I do agree with boosted, those rims look pretty fugly. Quite a lot of miles on it for being that clean. I'm kind of tired of the "Very fast and furious" tag line everyone seems to be putting on cars on ebay however, sort of makes me want to just hit alt+f4 and leave. Definatly looks nice white though :)

Scott 89t2 08-25-02 01:34 PM

"IS VERY FAST AND FURIUOS ON THE FREEWAY" bahahah

thats alot of miles....

Barwick 08-25-02 03:15 PM

MAN I hate that phrase "it's fast and furious!!!!!" I just want to slap someone whenever I hear that.

Other than that, it looks just about EXACTLY like my '90 TurboII. Mine's white also, except I have leather interior, a new J-spec engine, and a full turbo-back exhaust. Oh and I have a dented front drivers side fender. Other than that, I think mine looks just as nice, if not better.

i emailed him and asked him to get a comp test done from the dealer and fax the sheet over to me. and i told him if it comes back good i will make him a good offer

Blitz0309 08-25-02 07:30 PM

RangerJoeEOD 08-25-02 08:56 PM

the ad said " 4 cylanders" i dont know about you but my 89 GTUs has rotors

Rotary-Revolution 08-25-02 09:19 PM

I just might have to buy that! lol:D

But I'm not sure about him saying "I bought this car to sell on E-Bay." It could be a fixed up wreck?

Barwick 08-25-02 09:27 PM

run a carfax

Ni5mo180SX 08-25-02 09:45 PM

looks great for having all those miles.

gz91rx7 08-25-02 10:34 PM

Could be, it was repainted after all.

No maintence history either, who knows, he could shove some ATF in there, get a compression check, and stop leak in the rad, and you wouldn't know until its too late.

SonicRaT 08-26-02 12:34 AM

Someone probably bought it expecting a fast car, and instead got a dieing turbo2, and then stuck it on ebay saying he just bought it to sell.

V8HUNTER 08-26-02 12:59 PM

Stay away! This was my friends car when I used to live out in Orange, it was totally messed up when it was sold, the car was curbed hard!

The passenger side wheel was bent under the car (and cracked), the sideskirt popped off, and underneith the metal was crushed, to fix it properly, he was quoted over $4000, instead he just got a new sideskirt to cover the damage. The car wouldn't track straight no matter what was done, but it is drivable, sort of.

The stock wheels were probably replaced because the Series 5 wheels are so hard to find, and whoever bought it just wanted to put some cheap things on there to help the car sell. I'm going to call my friend later to see if he can post some pictures of the damage for you guys.

The acronym is BSO - Bright Shinny Object.
When you look under the shine - SUPRISE!

voodooracing 08-26-02 01:42 PM

yea, better see the car in person and see the warmed up, hot compression checks... more accurate....

eViLRotor 08-26-02 02:19 PM

Too bad about the alleged troubles because it sure looks nice and clean... :(
