Locating Tensioner

So for my 1987 GXL 13b,where the really long tension bolt goes for the A/C, directly where it screws in to tighten up the v belt got stripped out, anyone have a idea of a place where I can buy that or the WHOLE tensioner setup. Please and thank you.

I may be able to come up with one for you. Do you need ONLY the super long threaded bolt, or do you need the other metal chunk that the bolt threads into and that the bearing/pulley sits on too?

psychosis102 01-23-13 11:47 AM

I need the bolt and metal chunk it goes into, and hell if I can get the chunck from canada then hell ill wait the shipping days and do that! and yea its the long long one not the shorter long one.

RotaryResurrection 01-23-13 01:27 PM

I can sell you the bolt with the metal chunk and bearing/pulley if you still need it.

you probably learned by now you have to loosen the nut on the tensioner itself before you start messing with the tensioner bolt, but usually the head snaps off before it strips- that is how I learned the first time I messed with it, lol

psychosis102 01-23-13 02:18 PM

Lol yea I was like..hmmm what the....felt like a money beating a square into a circle hole...but UPDATE! Tensioner part rethreaded good! Bolt how ever took the majority of the stripping...its dead.

psychosis102 01-23-13 02:18 PM

Rotary res, how much, id still like to buy and have one handy.

RotaryResurrection 01-23-13 05:26 PM

IF you just want the long bolt itself I have some spares I'll sell you for 10 shipped.

You never know man, I might ship him out a "bad" bolt, withdraw all the money left over after shipping and paypal fees, and go blow the whole 6 dollars on hookers and blow at the casino. You can't be too careful these days.

You laugh, but all BS aside, people from this forum used to do that to me. I literally once had some forum member call me at like 3:45 AM. When I later asked what he was thinking, he said that he "saw I was online on the forum" and thought it would be okay. I guess your browser leaves you logged in for a while unless you actually close the page, I hadn't been on the computer in an hour. Stuff like that is why I've become so jaded and sometimes even an a$$hole to other people who get on my nerves. The way I see it, if you're too dumb to use common sense, then I'm too dumb to treat you with basic respect, and we can have a competition to see who is dumber. :)

I have never got anything from this site before for one, for two, no i don't think its a scam of any kind, second i want to make sure its the correct part so there is no having to double ship and no, im not stupid enough to call after 7pm to people, I sure wouldn't want to be bothered after I am off work...so forget the phone if you want it was just a simple Idea, message me via email from now on so i can get these parts please, pyros323@gmail.com, this way for sure you won't "get any late night calls" and please like I said first time getting anything from this site...cut me alittle slack guys alright...

psychosis102 01-25-13 07:38 AM

Let me know if you would still like to help, id really appreciate it, cause Id like to have those parts on hand for future.
