A little Flywheel Help
 

Do you guys think i can take an aftermarket ACT Prolite Flywheel and just bolt it onto a series 5 block that previously was automatic the Prolite i belive just bolts up to the counterwieght for an auto instead of buying one?

Yes, you can use the automatic counterweight for the lightened flywheel.

thats what i thought just wanted to make sure so i didn't have to remove the 1 /8 nut and risk the bearing situation and i thought it sounded good a ballanced flywheel on an engine that was already balanced and just bolt on you know?

Huh?

You will have to remove the 54mm flywheel nut to get your auto flywheel (flexplate) off. The counterweight is bolted to that flexplate. Swap the counterweight to your lightened flywheel, and install the flywheel with the 54mm nut.

huh i didn't have to remove the flywheel nut to take the flex plate off. just the bolts to hold the flex plate to the counter wieght. but as for diameter can i still use the act prolite flywheel with the non turbo clutch disk and pressure plate i can't find one for non turbo anywhere.
