Left rear caliper

I have two 2nd Gen N/A RX-7's, one for parts, and one that's a daily driver. The left rear brake caliper on the daily driver developed a brake fluid leak so this weekend my father swapped the good one off the parts car onto my daily driver. (I am currently on doctors orders not to do ANYTHING due to having a tumor removed from my spinal cord, otherwise I would have done it myself) It didn't leak for a couple of days but has started to do so now. Everything appears to be tight and as far as we know he followed proper procedure, but the caliper is leaking again!?!?! The job seemed pretty straightforward but now we are wondering if there was something we missed. Anyone done this before, and if so what were the results? Is there anything particular for us to look for in trying to fix the leak?

Thanks

Gerard

Well the caliper would only leak in 4 places(unless the casting is cracked):the main seal on the piston, the seal on the hand brake actuator pin,the bleeders, and the pipe connection. If you have a leak at the pipe connection it is likelly because you did not use new copper seals when you changed the caliper. If it is a bleeder you may have some dirt under the seat. If it's leaking anywhere else it is nothing to do with installation and you need a rebuild.
