the way i did it was to unplug the headlight motors (big white plug in the front of engine bay) and then reach under the front bumper and u'll feel a little knob, u turn that knob and it slowly lifts up the headlight. but it stays in the same position wheter the lights are on or off

vipers 08-15-05 12:51 AM

no need to unplug the headlight motors........ just pull the main headlight retractor fuse in the main fuse panal under the hood.

note.... hope it doesnt happen, but prepare for some major flaming!

Unless its only during the day you're in for some tickets. Stupid people that do this have complete ignorance for most local laws that mandate a certain headlight height. So cops will think your shit is broken(guess why, because it looks so...) and will give you a fix it ticket. Stop following faggot trends.

Its completely worthless to do during the day so put Lazy Eye Head Lamps+Moron+Day=stupid looking car and bad image for the rest of us 7 owners.

all you have to do is search and you will find all the info you need on how to do it. The best way to do it is to install pivot pop-up headlight controller ( http://racingdimension.com/index.asp...ROD&ProdID=275 ) that way you can have them sleepy eye when your drivin during the day and normal at night.

But SEARCH if you don't want to get flammed.

i think it looks good.i dont know what your talking about, i have been driving around for 2 years with sleepie eyes and have never been pulled over ............maybe you should show some class :asshole:

Diavolo 08-15-05 03:03 AM

if you wanted to, you dont need to unplug a motor how about this;
just pull out the fuse (fuse box in the engine bay) and manually raise them up using the knob underneath the front bumper like fc3sfreek said.

im trying to remember which fuse it is, i think its the third one over, and its pink labeled 'retractor' or something like that, if that doesnt make since i'll double check, i just dont feel like walking into the garage and popping my hood right now.

In the greater texas area there are headlamp height laws. Most other states have them too, maybe you suck too many pig cocks?

I think sleepy eyes are cool... its a matter of taste. Sure I dont use them all the time. I am sure that when they are mid open they allow more air to come into the engine bay, something useful after all.

I have a friend of mine, who made a small circuit: It has two switches. Switch One, and Switch Two.

Switch One controles mode. I mean:
Mode A: stock function with the stock switches.
Mode B: System goes to Sleepy Eyes Mode. :)

When Switch One is at Mode B, the light motors operate only with Switch Two. Its time I press Switch Two, the motors go up one step. Etc. From full closed, to full open, there are about 12-14 steps! :D :D

I hide the panel with the Switches (one and two) right aside from the -hood open- switch. Its great!

If you've seen the headlight assemblies you'd know they have a rubber seal around the front and the bezels pretty much come close to the sides. Not even to mention the fact that there are no direct/unrestricted paths to the engine bay.

luckyse7en 08-15-05 04:22 AM

im sorry fellas, but I usually dont do this but i think this rx7 guy is a fuckin douche, your talkin about class... it sounds to me like your tryin to start a fight w/ your own kind, i bet you have some shit on your car that people wouldnt agree w/, opinions are cool, but you need to go somewhere with that shit

oh and by the way i live in texas and have lazy eyes on my car iv'e never ever been bothered by the laws

SonicRaT 08-15-05 04:31 AM

Just because they don't bother you, doesn't mean it isn't true (which infact, it is). Regardless, I seriously doubt you'll find one peice of 'shady' (read, perhaps rice) on his car, he's generally pretty avid against such things. That, and he's right for the most part.

Sleepy eyes look broken, or they make the car look retarded (literally).

Yes I know. Rubber has been cut, I forgot to mention. No need for direct/unrestricted paths to the engine bay to get some more air there, trust me. ;)

BTW have you seen the airflow some aftermarket light covers have? You can do the same thing: Use sleepy eyes, cut the plastic above the light and between the metal cover, and create a air path to the air filter (cone, etc). :)

Opinions are like a$$holes. Everybody has one. (no offence) :D :D :D You can also say that a TurboII looks retarded when the rear wing is removed...

I'm sure you have never actually looked to see how this air gets into the engine bay. If you had, you would've seen that it can't.

iceblue 08-15-05 08:21 AM

Ummm there is a steal wall behinde the light. :-/

Aaron Cake 08-15-05 08:24 AM

We've covered this many, many times before, and it almost always turns into a flame war.

Please search for "lazy eyes", "sleepy eyes" or "pivot controller". You'll find all the info you need to break your headlights.
