Kyb Struts-brake Line Doesnt Reach
I installed some KYB GR-2s on my front today. They appeared pretty much the same as the Tokicos I took out, but when I installed the KYBs the brake line (where its secured to the little bracket on the strut) is about an inch away and wont reach. ??? One side I can get, but the other is a good inch from the bracket and no closer. I removed the strut and installed it a second time-same thing.
Anyone have this problem? Does the brake line really have to be secured?? Jim D 90 Vert |
yes it does.. atleast it should. are you sure you used the damper that is suppose to go on the right side and the left damper on the left side? mine clipped right on.

Hmmmmm...damper? Im not sure what this is. I did install new strut mounts. Is this the 'damper'? I installed the components what were shown in the service manual. Did I miss something? If yours clipped right on I guess I did.
