Kumho Tires

Anyone have any experience with these? I have been looking at a set of Ecsta 712s for my GTUs. The price is great and most of the reviews that I have seen have been favorable.

Any thoughts??

I have had them for about 4 months now and I couldnt be happier. Im sure their are better ones out there but for the price I dont think they can be beat.

i've had them for over a year now.

I've had mine for a few months now. There are some better tires out there.. But they're at least twice as much. For the money ($69 a tire for Z rated), they're the best money can buy.

Where did you get them so cheap??? 711 or 712?

Yeah, not to mention the treadwear on the Yokohama performance tires sucks... Same with the SP9000s, and they are even more expensive. I have 215/40/16s in the front, and 225/45/16s in the back... very good choice.

Hmmmm? I might have to look into those as my next tires too!

The Zrated ones are now hard to get, when I got my tires & wheel package, thats what I original ordered, but they got discontinued or something. Kumho now makes the same tire but in a W rating, same exact pattern and control, but it has better treadlife! I don't think its rated at over 180MPH though, which I personally don't think my NA will ever see...so the 170MPH rating is good enough for me :) Also, I paid $78 each for them.

Actually, you're better off with the W rating.

Z rating is up to 149mph and above. But how far above is the question.

W rating is up to 168mph.
