Thanks,

I dunno how the greddy fmic would affect it I'm going with a diff IC setup. But I have a Koyo rad with a Flex-a-lite Black Magic Extreme 3300cfm e-fan and the shroud fits damn well.

I have a koyo, no greddy (doing a custom mounted where old school greddy went) but Im using a dual fan and shroud setup from a 98 mystique, had to modify the little nipple on the lower rad inlet, but nothing mega huge....fans work excellent

SLIGHT overhang on one side ~ 3/8"
overall height of rad core is 3/8" taller than shroud

I have the greddy aswell and I had to go back to the stock rad and shroud with clutch fan to keep it from overheating on the highway. However now my turbo fits so far forward it hits the fan shroud so I need to change back to the koyo.

The only answer to this I have ever found was a Vintage air 18'' fan 3800 CFM with a 68 Camaro fan shroud. a forum member had this on his yellow FC and it even kept him cool on track days.

I have that setup and it turns the front of my car into a vacuum cleaner. Of course I have properly sealed ducting for it too.
Pics in my sig.

At speed, electric fans do nothing to cool the oil/water temps. Sometimes they may actually increase your temps as they can be a restriction if the fan size or area that remains open is not sufficiently large enough to let enough air pass through.

Black magic flex-a-lite 150 + Koyo Radiator + Greddy 2row FMIC.

That should give you a good idea on how it looks.

Ford Taurus fans, push a mad amount of air and the larger V6 is a 2 speed fan.The shroud is a pretty decent match to the FC rad also, but make sure you have at least a FD alternater and a full size battery as it pulls major amps.
On a side note if you look at the vintage air electric fan back housing it looks identicle to the taurus casing.

What kind of water/oil temps do you see with that setup?

I have the Greddy FMIC, Koyo, stock fan/shourd. And see 190 on the water and 180 cruising with 210 flogging it on the oil.

I had the Ford escort/taurus efan on the largest Griffin rad I could fit in and still close the hood and it could not keep the temps under 230 so this fan is out.

Document this I have tested it and it does not work.

180F on the watter at all times, up to 187F at WOT (short WOT burst, the car is not tuned yet). The oil on the other hand, sits at 180F at idle (when fully warm), then 200-210F driving around the city, sometimes it even go as high as 215F! and 200F at normal highway speeds.

BTW - Water temps taken from the E6K and confirmed with a Autometer gauge, oil temps taken from an autometer gauge.

here is what I have. It's an 88 fierro gt fan. Keeps blowing relays right now but I think it's just because it's to small of a relay.

Is the escort fan you used a 2 spd unit? It's the larger V6(3.8 liter vrs. the 3.0 liter) Taurus fan you want.If you have that fan and it won't keep up,you may other issues.

I used a lot of foam to block up areas the air could bypass it. I also cut a length of sheet metal about 4 inches tall and as long as the oil cooler. I zip tied it to that round bar that goes across the front of the car. And it rests on the top of the oilcooler. So basicly, it prevents air from going over teh top of the cooler. I saw that idea on here years ago...just got around to doing it.

And I noticed I dropped my oil temps by about 5F when I jammed a piece of foam between teh bottom of the cooler and the underpan.

I'm in the process of making a fan shroud for my Permacool finger chopper.

The dimensions of a S4 koyo core are 17x22 inches.

You have to clear about 3-4 inches height and around 3inches width for the upper radiator hose. Then you have the lower radiator hose return line from the heater core.

Carx7 ran the Vintage air shroud. That thing is godly.
