Knock sensor with a Microtech/Haltech?

Should I just remove it? I remember hearing that the S5 knock box is internal to the ECU itself so when I go with the LTX it will not function anymore right? Other than that sensor on the front rotor housing what is there to the knock box that is external? should I just leave it or shoudl I remove it?

Just leave it, its not bothering you. :)

Ok should I look into an aftermarket Knock sensor? Is it worth it?

I left mine in, I didn't really worry about that little bit at all.

The Microtech won't easily run a konck sensor, so there's not much point in having it.

The Haltec can, but the stock knock sensor sucks so again, it's not worth it.

Really, running any knock sensor is a turbo rotary is pretty pointless since by the time the sensor detects it, the damage has been done...This was a major problem with the Jacob's box...

Well, all I can give you is my opinion.

And my opinion is, knock sensors, for the most part are pretty expensive. If your running your car on that fine of a line to need one (not saying you are) than by time it detects a knock its probably already too late. The money is better spent on other things, and I would just tune a bit more conservitivly(sp?).

Edit: Damn you people for sneaking those in!
