I'm thinking about removing the tumbler and trying to work on it from a better angle but I don't know how to remove the tumbler.......I can't find it in my fsm PDFs (i found them after i thought i lost the CD).....any ideas are greatly appreciated and NO, I will not tell you where I live :suspect:

the worst part is that it only goes to "ACC" position, I can't get it to turn past that to take it out.

if you can remove the whole ignition and take it to a locksmith he can remove it for around 25 bucks.our cars have alot of play in the ignition almost any key can fit in it,

Tried clamping vicegrips on it and smacking them with a hammer? Don't give me dirty looks either, he's between a rock and a hard place :naughty:

Actually thats not true...no more than any other vehicles on the road. And Japanese vehicles have much tighter tolerances in lock and ignition cylinders than american cars.....even back when these were made.

edit: just noticed it says you can't turn it to lock..........well I dunno then......

Will it twist clockwise at all? I had this happen for the same wrong key reason.

After twisting back and forth closkwise and back eventually one of the forward twists lines things up enough for the key to twist back to the lock position allowing the key to come right out. Maybe I was just plain lucky, but perhaps there is a solution there for you.
