1st a back story before i get to the question

one night at walmart around 10pm, a person decied they wanted a free rx7. so they tried to pick my lock with a hair pin. but they failed and the hair pin broke off inside the key hole. well since then my key doesnt work all the time. i have to turn it really hard sometimes. what are my options? its manul door locks. is their anyway i can hook up a alarm system to make them automatic lock with the alarm?

idk but i will sell you all the automatic door lock stuff from an s4 GXL(and i have the alarm to if you find out how to make it all work out)

First, you should change out the lock cylinder. Problem there is that unless you want different keys for your car, you will have to get the others either swapped out or re-keyed at a locksmith. Including ignition if you want to only have 1 key.

then you can swap in an alarm setup and wiring, modules, etc. I have not done this in an FC, so I canot tell you what exactly you need to do. I would think about going for the offer above personally. But it is not just a drop-in and go deal--you will have to mess with it to get it working.

you should just remove your key cylinder and then try to get the piece out. It shouldn't be too hard. Then you wont have to get a new cylinder re-keyed for you.

yeah someone did the same thing to my vert. They looked like they broke a screw driver tip off in it. Anyway the passanger door hand broke and I needed to replace it so screw both of them. I am shaving the door handles when I get my paint job. They sell a kit on ebay for 100 bucks that pops the doors open via remote. So I will hook up the kit and get it working soon to get all the bugs out. You might want to look into it because I wasn't having 2 keys and also running the risk of having it done again.
