Kaaz Diff on non turbo

Searched and cant really find the answer im looking for.

What are the differences between the non turbo and turbo kaaz diffs? is it only the size of the unit for fitment that is different ? Or is the turbo one stronger than the non turbo one? I see they both have " 12 Plates for mild to medium power levels"

Also, If I get the non turbo DAZ1810 and put it in my non turbo diff housing will I be able to upgrade to a turbo engine in the future and be ok with this non turbo housing diff and kaaz unit? Or would it benefit me to find a turbo 2 housing and put the turbo kaaz unit in it.

Any feedback is appreciated. thanks

Ring gear diameters are different. Non-turbo ring gear is 7" diameter and turbo ring gear is 8" diameter.

Ok but Is 8 inch ring diameter that much stronger or you think I’ll be good using the nonturbo

Don't know about the Kaaz. Probably be a good question to pose to Kaaz tech support. I remember reading posts that the NA drivetrain is only good for up to about 250 HP. Guess it depends on whether you're going to be racing the car or not. There's probably other more knowledgable folks on this board that can better answer your questions.

Thanks hotdog . I contacted Kaaz. This is what they said in case anyone else wanted to know this aswell.

“Thank you for your inquiry.
The medium sized unit DAZ1810 will be good up to about 350whp. The diff will handle
a little more but the final gear will not last long. If you will be putting more power in the
future, I would recommend you get the turbo housing and start with the bigger rear end.
The turbo lsd unit and the bigger ring gear can handle lot more power (650whp +).
