k&N filter giving me idle problems

on a warm start, my idle would go to zero and the car would die out.

someone says my vaccum lines re just hanging there?

???? was it the thing that attached to the stock air box from the side?

what can i do about it.

what are you talking about? what vaccum line? there is a big vaccum line that goes from the BAC to the intake elbow... its under the piping from the TB elbow to the air box.. if that is disconnected you will never get your car to idle

then, what do you do when you replace the stock air box with a k&n filter? wont the BAC and intake elbow be disconected?

Ahh, yes, the air pump hose.

That hose feeds the air for your air pump.

I've never disconnected mine, but I think the only side effect of your setup is that your airpump won't get filtered air.

When I got my K&N, I had to buy a $40 adapter plate for the RX-7 that had another little hose-nipple on the back next to the MAF attachment point.

Oh, yeah, and don't quote me on this, but I don't think that's causing your idle problems. From what I've read it's usually tps related...

Good Luck!

thats not idle related at all. mine just hangs there cuz im too lazy to put a breather on it. i hose clamped a peice of fabric over it ;)

your idle could really be just about anything... probably tps though, search for it

its NOT my problem/?

interesting.... thanks!

Only gives trouble when warm? If it did it always, I'd be checking the AFM, since you were working in that area, but only when warm?

What lines are disconnected besides the hose that goes to the air pump?

Also, check the wires and connector that plug into your BAC. It should not be something that you broke when installing the air filter, but you never know. ;)
