Just got an Black Magic fan ... shroud problem

It just never fucking ends with this car.

Now the shroud on the fan wont sit properly on the radiator. The bottom half of it sits flush against the radiators, however the top half starts getting further and further away as you get to the top of it. The top of the shroud is probably .5" away from the top of the radiator, will probably closer to .25" when I throw zip ties or brackets on.

Am I still A-okay even with the slight gap? i'd assume a 2800cfm fan would still pull enough air with that small gap.

wrap the edge of the shroud in foam, and then press it against the rad.

or... grind that fuker flat. use the floor or a garage and just grind away.

I would try the foam first. Then if it fails....grind away.

Don't leave a gap. When summer rolls around again, you'll be happy to have all the cooling potential possible.

How are you installing it?

zip tieing it i guess.

i figured out a quick solution. just unbolted the back of the thermostat and bent it so it sits on top of the shroud instead of on the front, nw it sits flat yay

So is the fan shroud curved, or is the radiator curved? I don't quite get the picture...
