it just gets weirder...
 

well, i fixed the whistling, it was the vaccum lines going to the oil lines on the intake manifold, and it idles, very rough, but it idles, fluctuated between 800 and 1500, with a bit of a hissing sound, haven't found where that is comming from though. the problem i have now, besides the uber rough idle, is that i have no throttle response, and yes, i did reattach the throtle cable, and it is not stuck, even trying to rev an the throttle body i get nothing. you can hear that the throtle plates are opening, but it seems as though the flow of gas is not increasing...

now what makes this no-rev situation even weirder is that i drove the car, parked it, and did nothing else to it.
i turned it on and let it run to show my mom that the problem close to being solved, and turned it off. then when i went to go drive it again i had no throttle response whatsoever....

any ideas?

Check your TPS with a multi meter and make sure that your AFM is level

The bouncy idle is most definately from the TPS and the hissing is probably a vac leak from one manifold to another one. Your AFM is suppossed to be level or the car will bog severly.

Spray suspect areas of the intake leak with carb cleaner: if the motor revs when you spray a certain point, that is where your leak is.

Some vacuum leaks may be harder to find if internal

Check if the diaphragms within the ACV and EGR are holding vacuum, if not, that's a vacuum leak

silly me, the reason i had no throttle response was that i had forgotten to plug the tps in... but it will not idle any more, just have to find the vaccum leak...
