Just did a H-mount set up, where to get custom rad hoses?
 

Hey i just finishd my H-mount set up on my fc . I just need some custom rad hoses to be finished with the swap ect..

Anyone know a place to get custom rad hoses made/pre made ect? Kinda like the material the samco hoses are made out of..

just use metal pipes with couplers at each end

You could go to advance/autozone/pepboys and look in their radiator hose section. They're reinforced rubber though which isn't as badass looking as silicone I guess...

they also have those chrome hose kits, they fit on with an adaptor, like 60 bucks for one hose though, talking about the ones they have near all the eldebrock stuff

Hmmm... Ya i picked up some upper,lower and heater rad hoses for 63bux today from schucks auto. They have some kind of metal spring inside so u can bend em anyway you like, but they are fugly and i was looking for something with better eye candy.

I like the idea of using couplers and metal pipe, but the upper rad hose needs to be shaped like a backwards J . Im using a koyo rad and the outlets are in the stock position as any fc radiator.

I used some samco type hoses and cut em up for the top on mine, I used the hot rod metal hose stuff with couplers for the lower. I used the stock radiator but modified it to suit my current needs. All the parts from online auctions. Looks good to me:

Looks good so far man. I didn't notice the volvo in your sig earlier, I have an '02 S60 2.4T AWD that is pretty fun, got EST 'R' catback, IPD HD TCV, Eibachs, looking into the RICA ecu upgrade...

What did you use to put between your upper rad hose? I have stock samco hoses for rx7 but they too short... Hhahaha tooshort... nice!

Ya with the rica ecu upgrade i heard you get what you pay for from them.... I would save your cash and have ipd reflash your ecu. Oh my goodness a vo and 7 go hand and hand for sure!

I used one of those 38mm temp sensor adapters from ebay. It's nice in that it allows more movement of the hoses, you can twist either end to swivel to gain clearance. I'm still not happy about how close the coolant line sits to the intercooler pipe but at least it's the hot side. I also would like to relocate my temp sensor to the back of the water pump for a pre t-stat temp.

Hit up the local hydraulic store and pick up some silicone hose. It's not cheap but likely what you are looking for. It does not bend well so for any bends you will need to use a metal el.

In my opinion, the best way to go about this is to build solid radiator pipes and then just use hose at each end for couplers.

Ask them to see their radiator hoses they have out back. Tell them is for a custom set up and your looking for a hose with 3 or 4 90s on the hose it self. Check out the ones they have. Im sure there is some car or truck out there that has a bunch of bends on the radiator hoses.

And if you do go with solid pipes, make sure they are stainless. The last thing you want is rusted shit inside your motor. :puke:

Im actually leaving my hse in couple min. gonna have the exhaust shop that did my cat back bends on my Vo, hook it up with custom solid radiator pipes.

I used bailing wire to get the correct pattern i needed.. Hope it works out....
