Joygasm!!!

For those of you who were following my other thread, that bolt is now MY bitch. The RB turbo back is on... When we looked at my old catalytic, it was no wonder why I was only registering 3 pounds of boost. Well, all I can say is, WOW! The car absolutely FLIES now... And the exhaust is so much quieter than my straight pipe/rusted out muffler approach from before.
Thanks again everyone for all your advice.

Well aren't you gonna tell us how you got it off?

87racer 12-18-02 12:52 PM

congrats.... how'd you do it?

$100T2 12-18-02 12:57 PM

It was actually just basic stupidity. Any of you who have done anything to the exhaust where it attaches to the turbo know that there are little metal prongs that are bent down to cover the nuts... Well, on the first two that were removed, those little prongs were missing... It finally dawned on us that the one we were having a hard time with had two of them bent over it... So, with the help of a very long screwdriver, we bent them back. Less than an hour later, everything was bolted up and good to go.

There is only one downside to this story... My car makes so much more power now that my clutch is slipping... I think I'll leave that to a shop though.

Edit: On a side note, I would like to add that the frickin' stock Y-pipe and mufflers weigh more than the ENTIRE new system... I really couldn't be happier.

hehehe...I remember when I put on my 3'' dp/mp. I about shit in my pants when I opened it up for the first time. Happy boosting!! I trust you have fuel covered ;)
What kind of boost numbers are you seeing?

According to my boost gauge, it hit 11 yesterday... It's bad ass.
