well this is a VERY common question....but i believe that if u want to go s5...you have to get the whole driveine as well...i believe that if u try to mate and s5 motor with and s4 driveline...u might have some small problems with things bolting up correctly...i would suggest to sticking with an s4 turbo setup, so that u would not have to search for the s5 driveline parts and will be more cost effective....the s4 t2 motor will bolt up to your driveline...but i would recommend to at least get a upgraded clutch and flywheel to hold the torque of the new motor....hope this helps...if u want more detailed info....pm ben....his screen name is "karack"....he does really good work and knows his stuff...hes the go2 guy up here in northern cali for rotary work...

No. The problem is not the driveline, it's that the wiring harness is completely different.

well, a jdm ENGINE (a motor is an electrical device) was sold in Japan, whereas a US spec engine, was typically sold within the United States. hope that helps.

as far as performancewise...nothing really...jdm "engines"...dont come with emissions controls....such as an egr...something to pay attn to if u live in cali....and plan on making your car pass smog...
