Its Alive!!!!!! Its Alive!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well, checked the codes this morning (12, 18, and 32)...12 and 18 are low and full range TPS i guess...so i was on a mission to install the 91 JSPEC on i got. the 32 said in the shop manual Soleniod valve) dunno exaclty what that is...on the starter maybe?

anyway, damn, what a bear putting the TPS in was. those two little bolts under the metal flap took FOREVER! (if you don't have the hands of a 4'10 japanese person, its tough as hell :) (on the 89-91 models). but finally got them off. put the new TPS in (geeez, that part took about 3 minutes) :)

so then i had to unflood it. it took me like 5 times using the EGI fuse method to do it. (guess since i was a dumbass two weeks ago and tried pushing the gas to start it), hehe...oh well...

but finally it turned over. WOOOOOHOOOOOOO!!! smoked a little. but thats normal i guess. i put some 2-cyl in before i tried to start it for the hell of it.

its not insured or registered yet but i decided to take it down the road to see if it was still hesitating or bucking. NOTHING! it was fast again!!! no hesitation at all! :D

it still idles funny...like between 1000-1200...but taht can be adjusted right? like by the BAC or something?

anyway, just wanted to thank you guys for all the help and support you've given over the past month. i've been a nervous wreck, and i guess there are still a few quirks on it. but thank God it at least runs :)

thanks to thirdgenrx7 for helping me get that one nut off! what a PITA! its ironic that his car started boosting again to a healthy 15psi again today! ahhhh, its a great day!!!

congrats on getting it runnin again. u can adjust the hard idle via the screw on the throttle. where the cable comes up behind the IC, theres a screw with a spring around it, back it out a couple turns and the idle will drop.

later

Sweet man...I'm stoked for you. Your boosting at 15psi? I thought that car was mostly stock?

RarestRX 10-23-01 03:00 PM

Yo,

Congrats! Let's hope you can sleep at night now, without tossing and turning, going through worst case scenarios! *grin*

Good job! Now replace all the vacuum lines with silicone!
*wink*

hehe...most of them are already replaced :) before i bought it...

hey jeremy...nah, mine is probably only stock boost since the wastegate is ported...i meant my friends FD...he has streetport and non-sequentials...it wouldn't boost past 7psi for the past month...seemed broke for a while but majically fixed itself today! LOL

anyone know about code 32? soleniod valve?

mazdaspeed7 10-23-01 04:46 PM

Code 32 is one of the solenoids on the ACV valve. You dont need to worry about it. It wont turn on the check engine light and wont hurt anything.

Glad you finally got it running good. It might be safe to kep using premix just in case the OMP decides to fail at a bad time.
