I bought a 1987 T2 maybe one month ago and it's just been sitting, basically i bought it with a blown engine, and so i got it pretty cheap, however i went outside and looked at it turned it over alittle and after alittle TLC it started for me... i asked a rotary mech and he said that it would start.. but it now does... here's the problem now, once it warms up it dies... and smoke comes outta the oil inlet, anybody can think of anything that it might be. I'm replacing the engine anyways, but i kinda wanna drive it around to the shops so that it can be worked on.

need a little more info.....when it starts does smoke come out of the exhaust? what color is the smoke? Black and or white are bad! Blue is ok ... check the compression. it may be as simple as leaky injectors...

naw it's cause the motors blown, thanks tho.. i'm postive that it'll not pass a compression test. haha thanks tho. the color is black so yeah... proably oil....
