Introduction

Hello, new to the forum, but i've been reading it for a while now, i've always loved the rx-7 ever since my older brother had his turbo II. And i recently purchased my own 1987 rx-7. I'm still learning about these engines but i pick things up fast, basically the rx-7 is going to be a track use car, for autocross and drifting events. I've got a protege as a daily driver. The rx-7 i just bought came with some neat mods, it's a base model but it has:
16" motegi rims and yokohoma tires, an lsd off an 87' turbo II, strut tower bar, and he included the stock rims/tires with a bunch of spare body parts to go along with it here are some pictures

full shot ofthe car? I'm not too fond of the color? but hey, its a 7 so no complaints there :D

=( no full shot, i had to borrow a friend's digicam to take those, i'll get one in a day or so, and yeah i'm not too fond of the color either, apparently the guy was about to paint it then put it up for sale so it has a bit of maroon around the edges, when i can afford to i'll change that

Not bad not bad, although i'm sure how well those rims will do in drifting.

haha not using those rims to drift with, i've got the stock rims sitting in the garage, for now, when i get better and add a bit more power to the car to get those 16"s around i'll start using them

nice car man, and hey i have got 17s on mine and i can get it to slide in a drift no prob, but i do have some mods
you dont need many. they will slide pretty good it is just a matter of getting them started

HX-50 04-18-04 10:17 PM

yeah 86project right now i'm not concerned with mods, i just want to make sure it's running ok and get used to the car, also that's going to give me time to save for coilovers, and an lsd, after that i don't know maybe a few minor engine mods but nothing too spectacular
