Internal Gaskets
 

STORY: There used to be a nice little auto parts store near my house, owned by a friend of my father. I used to go ask him for gaskets for my Mazda RX7's and he used to get me all that I needed, based on what I am doing. His shop closed, and now I seem to have to find my own stuff. Most of the parts are relatively simple to find on the internet or whatever, except for the internal gaskets [the ones that connect the cast irons to the rotor housings]. Mazda sure as hell is expensive... Where do you guys get that stuff for yourself? Every place I can find says they don't have the "internal O-rings", "external gaskets only", etc...

Where do you get YOUR internal gaskets? Everyone sells "external gaskets only" or "no internal o-rings"... and mazda is expensive as hell...

I just buy them from Mazda.

that was pretty hard to read, but i'm taking a shot at it: "It has all I need to assemble the 3 irons and rotor housings, right?"

that is essentailly a "soft seal" kit, so it's going to come with the o-rings that go betweent the irons and housings (The water and combustion o-rings), amongst others. It looks like it may include the tensioning bolt orings, too, but Ic an't tell for sure. Assuming that all of your hard seals & springs (Apex, side, corner, etc, etc, etc) are good, then that kit should be all you need. Give em a call, if you have questions about the contents, though, they're nice people ;)

Just for the record, i got mine from rotaryaviation....

I'm sure someone else has used this specific kit, and can tell you more about the contents, though.. HOpe this helps.
