interior restoration and guage question

hey I'm doing a restoration on my 7 and need some help if yall don't mind. I'm taking out the carpet today and was woundering if I should take the dash out or just cut around it? If I need to take the dash off how should I do that? I've taken off almost all bolts and that thing still wount budge. Anyways secondly I bought the car from a guy who put in an safc, hks boost guage, hks exhaust temp guage, air to fuel ratio guage and fuel pressure guage, I would like to take all the wiring out and redo all of this becuase of electrical problem starting. Is this adviseable and is it ok to cut the wires and splice them later? Thanks for any help!!!

as long as you hook the wires back up right, and use the same wires, they should be ok.

ahhh so you have to use the same wires? I would think that if you used the same guage but differant wires it would be ok? maybe not.

damn either no one has taken a dash of before or restored their rx7 or no one likes me :( How come I can't get any help? Anyways I finally got the dash off and the carpet out however now I've got something else hindering me. I used to have a fuel pressure guage in my car that the original owner put in it. After taking the dash off and finding the cobweb of wires under the dash there was a box that says fuel pressure. So I know that whent to the fuel pressure guage obviosly however, I don't know if I can yank the hole box or if it also has factory wires in there? Any help would be great thanks!

you can get that carpet from underneath the dash without removing the whole dash if you cut it around the transmission hump, just be sure to undo the screws in the center console - the ones that conect the console to the shifter part of the dash - and the ones that are on the sides of the center section(on the transmission hump). then youll just have to yank out from the bottom of it.
