I am not fussed about leather, but what is a good price for a complete interior?
Door cards, carpet, dash etc...

And is it worth it? my interior is red at the moment and i would prefer another colour, in hindsite i would have bought another car with a nice interior:)

A complete interior is gonna run you around 600-800 dollars. SOOOOOOO many people ended up with that burgundy interior, and everyone looks to change it. I suggest painting and recarpeting, im doing my interior compltely black for just 200 bucks. Everything is being converted from red to black except the door panels because i found some black ones on ebay.

I got complete black carpeting for around $200 (good price). If you're good with spray-paint, ANYTHING (almost) can be painted... I think a lot of people are somewhat skeptical at first about paint, but there's nothing to worry about. You can't even tell what's been painted and what hasn't. I'd suggest finding good used carpet, dying your existing carpet (research, kind of difficult), or having an upholstery shop do it custom. I'd spray the dash, arm-rests, rear bins (carpet too), the plastic molded scuff guard thingy that says Mazda on it when you open the door... Pretty much spray EVERYTHING 'trim black' (duplicolor) that used to be red. You can have a VERY nice interior for a little more than the cost of the carpeting and 5+ hours of labor.

Both my N/A and Turbo have custom paint somewhere in the interior (very stock and tasteful).

I actually am goign to use a interior paint kit form Wicked Weapon. i has 4 stages
1)sand
2)primer
3)paint
4) clearcoat
The whole interior is gonna cost me Just $85.

Im thinking of buying the complete carpet kit and just using the spray dye for the strut tower walls.

How did the duplicolor turn out? do you have any pics? i might try that before i pay for the wicked weapon kit.

the duplicolor works flawlessly. I'd recommend it to anyone. I've posted pics before, hold on, I'll try and find a link.

alright, EVERYTHING that is black was painted black using either duplicolor 'trim black' or duplicolor vinyl and carpet spray. Doorcards, strut tower carpet etc.

No sanding is necessary. Just make sure the parts are VERY clean and maybe rough them up a bit with a scotch brite pad. For the carpeting, get very close and lay it on RIDICULOUSLY thick (it doesn't matter). You will see wear on the painted carpeting eventually, but buy a non-glossy black paint pen from a hobby shop and squish it into the lighter worn areas, dotting it around to blend it in. It works wonderfully. You should have seen how heinous my interior was before I started...

I may have to give this a try, i have been offered a leather interior for £500inc the dash, but its from a cab, so i need to sort the seats out as well.

Is this just regular rattle can paint? i.e. the stuff you use on the outside of the car.

Yea its rattle can paint used to cover/blend after small repairs like bondo.
Erikseven, which poaint did you use on what? Like did u use the vinyl or the trim for the dash? ect. Sorry to be a pest but you got me really hype to do this now and wanna makesure i dont fuck it up. Oh and what indiglo gauges are those? The regular or reverse? I have been procrastinating installing mine, those look nice.

i painted almost all of my interior black. so far the only thing i didnt paint was the dash. when i get the chance im going to take it out and paint it too. and after a few months the only parts that have gotten some paint scratched off is the door seals where the buckle from my harness hits it whenever i get out of the car. but the paint works great and dries REALLY fast.

The only things that were painted using the carpet/vinyl spray were the door cards, rear bins, and the vinyl on the seats.. oh and the strut tower carpeting. Everything else was trim. I don't think it really matters too much. Trim paint is kind of wacky on really smooth surfaces (like inner door handle tub and door vents). But on textured surfaces it works great. It doesn't like to blend into itself sometimes.. um, either way I highly recommend using it.

If I were to spray the dash I'd probably use trim paint.

The gauges in both my rx's are the reverse glow kind.

my buddy had great results on his 240sx using some paint labelled as "vinyl dye." not sure what brand it was, duplicolor maybe.
