Interesting, is this a stock amp in my seven? -pic-

Its really weird, I pulled out the passenger 4" speaker yesterday and it was inside this enclosure. SO i pulled that out and brought it inside, inside the enclosure was some electronics, the speaker and a heatsink for wich looks like a stock amp.
I really don't need this as I have my own deck and amp, is it ok to just disconect this entirely? I actually want to just rip it all out and put in just my own speaker with its own wires that will goto my own amp. Im just worried that if I take it out my fucking wipers will stop working or some shit.

So the questions are

1)Is this just an amp, no more?
2) can I remove this completley without any problems?

That's the stock amp for the two front speakers. IIRC it also controls the power antenna. I've always just left mine in for that function and ran wires directly to the speaker & use em for highs only.

heh... my power antenna was ripped right off, amoung other things.. I should still leave it in though and connected. I'll just route some wires like you said.

thx bro

Hmm, that would explain why my wipers stopped working. ;-)

Nope, nothing to do with it.
