Installing Gauges?
Hey i wanna install some gauges in an a-pillar pod.. oil pressure, oil temp and a/f, but i have no idea what im doing :bigthumb: . I dont want to pay someone to do it though id much rather do it myself. Can anyone help me out?

Not trying to slam ya here, but if you don't know enough to even study some schematics, find a fused/ switched power supply to tap into, and know what a chassis ground is, maybe you ought to get some help...

For the oil psi and temp, get the adapter from Racing Beat. It has a couple of holes in it to attach your temp and psi line.
Lighting the gauges is simple if you want to have some type of switch. I didn't want some switch lieing around so I pulled off my gauge cluster, and I got behind the tachometer gauge and tappped into the 12v input for the gauge lights. Now I can dim my autometer gauges with my factory gauges all from one switch. Mounting them to a autometer dual gauge pod is extremely easy. Mounting the pod is easy too since clips are supplied. |

Thanks bigdv, and sorry 2 da ppl that think this is a newb thread that shouldnt be here.. i just dont wanna screw up my car, i knew it was a dumb question so i tried researching it, couldnt find too much. A couple member that did respond with helpful info really did a service though.
