Injector Wiring...HELP

One of my sec injectors died so I am replacing (and getting 800 cc) both of them. There are two wires to each injectors. How do I know which one goes where on the injector? Does it matter? I thought the injectors on pulsates so it should not matter, right?

Also, why the hell are the injector O-rings so expensive at Mazda dealers. The shop in San Jose charges $5.25 per O-ring and $3.85 for the injector nozzle washer/sealer. They are just small rubber washers!!!

Thanks,

Jay

Does not matter on the wires. The only thing that really matters is that you have the correct plug on the correct injector. Thats with the understanding that we are talking about one plug and does it matter which of the wires goes to the left or right on that plug. Does not matter. The dealer has to make money to pay the minimum wage of the guy behing the counter.

Thanks bro.

Another related question: I have a '90 TII. I bought the resistor packs from RX-7.com for use w/ low impedance injectors, but how come they are only rated at 3 Ohm? The new injectors are 2 Ohm and that would only make it 5 Ohm in series. I measured the stock injectors and they are 14 Ohm. I called RX-7.com and Rocky told me that they only carry 1 type of resistor so it must have been the correct one. Am I missing something here? I thought people were using 10 Ohm resistor packs. What damange can I cause by using the wrong impedance?

Stock resistor pack is 6 OHM. The damage that could be caused by having too low an impedance is the injector driver transistors in the ECU may blow. If they do, maybe RX7.COM will buy you a new ECU??? :D :D

Irv, Keith's dad
