Injector Resistor Question
 

I have a 88 Turbo2, and to preface I have been trying to de-bastardize the car since I got it.

I have a N333 Rtek 1.8 ecu and a set of rc750 injectors I've just had cleaned and tested and now I want to put them in.

I am trying to find the injector resistor pack to bypass it, and for the life of me I can't find the same pack as what I see in pictures. I am attaching a picture of what I believe is the resistor pack currently on the car? Only has 2 wires coming out of it, everything I've read says there are supposed to be 5 wires.

Please have a look at the picture, is it possible that I have a different harness in the car? I am currently running a N332 with low impedance injectors and car runs fine.

As always any info /help is appreciated, I have tried extensively searching for this.

Late 88 do not have resistor packs, the injectors were high impedance. Use your DMM to verify.

I have verified the injectors that are currently in the car are low impedance, and I'm using a low impedance ecu.

Can anyone verify for me that the part in the picture, which has a part number and says resistor on it, is in fact the injector resistor?

And if so, the 2wires coming out of it what do I do to bypass the pack properly?

the picture is of the fuel pump speed relay and resistor.

an 88 should have had high impedance injectors stock, so it will not have a resistor pack from the factory

Your Ecu accepts HI impedance injectors.
That is what the Factory N332 and N333 ecu was built for.
To get the Ecu to accept LO then they added a resistor Pack.
The 88 had no Pack.

Now if you can get HI's on the engine then you are set.
If you insist on Running LO then you should add a 6 ohm resistor in series to EACH injector,Or wire in a resistor pack.

Ya I've been driving the car for a year now, summer only as I'm in Canada, and I thought I had read that this 332 ecu only allowed for lo impedance injectors using a pack. Now I see that I am using LO impedance injectors without a pack, could this explain why it runs pretty rich?

Also, as I mentioned, I have a N333 ecu that has an rtek 1.8 done to it, as well as RC engineering 750 injectors. Pending the fact that there is no resistor pack, I should be able to just swap injectors to the rc's and plug in my N333 ecu correct?

If you can plug in your New injectors and they accept the Clips/connectors on the wiring,then Yes you can use them with the Rtek.
Remember though that ALL injectors must be HI Impedance.So it would be wise to double check the injectors you plan to out in Plus the ones currently on the engine just to make sure that all injectors are in fact HI Impedance.
