Injector Question

Can the injectors from a '90 GXL (stock) be used safely in an '87 na stock car? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks fellas.

you would have to solder in the injector connectors from '90 car and probably bypass the resistor box in the 87. it's not really worth the trouble.

^ yep. you might get lucky and get the 87.5 high imp injectors but the connectors are still different.

Bypassing the resistor box is really not hard at all, It takes 5 minutes tops. All you have to do is cut the wires from the connector to the resistor box, throw the resistor box away, solder the 5 leftover wires together and then plug the connector back on to the harness. :icon_tup:

Then you would still have to solder the injector connectors though. I'm not sure if it's worth it, because aren't the s5 injectors the same cc? They are all 450 or 460 IIRC....
