Injector "pulses"
 

I just got off the phone with my mechanic and i dont know really if an RX7 is suppose to "pulse" with the injectors.

he said that it chould be a grounding problem... can it?

also he chouldnt detect any pulses with any of the 3 computers that i gave him.

what are some things that i can check with this problem??

...bad ground...

...bad injectors...

What are good grounding points that i can make to insure GOOD ground???

All injectors run of a pulsewitdth from the ECU. What computer are you using to detect these pulses?

all i know about the computers is that there is a "326" on them, my mechanic is doing the pulse testing.

Is he trying to measure duty cycle? With a multimeter? Should work fine if connected in parallel with the injector.

The ECU switches the injectors by grounding them. There are two black wires on the ECU that lead to a ring terminal on the vac spider on the top of the engine. Those wires are the ECU/injector grounds.

You can easily tell if the injectors are being triggered by just listening to them with a stethoscope.

Depends on the Multimeter, not all of them can measure duty cycle.

Well yes, I did assume he was using a multimeter that is capable of measuring duty cycle. :) But then, maybe I'm starting to expect too much of people in my old age... :D
