injector damage with no pulsation dampener

I'm a little low on cash to go with an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator right now. I removed the stock pulsation dampener and put a banjo bolt in it's place. Anyone actually damaged their injectors running without the pulsation dampener?

Not that I've ever heard of.

I've been running a banjo bolt for 3 years.
Just sent my injectors to be cleaned and tested because it doesn't look like it had ever been done and I'm getting ready to install and Rtek. Here are the results....

The 550's were my primaries, unsure of millage (car has 130k) last 30k as been w/ a banjo bolt.

The worst one was down 10cc/min; even if that was entirely due to running a banjo bolt (which we all know isn't true) it took 3 years to do it. Doesn't really seem like a legitimate concern to me....

Also, for what its worth, those injectors were ran on a walbro 255 for one year, that was swapped for an FD pump for the last 2 years.

An aftermarket regulator usually has a damper built in.

Yes, the PD is on the primary rail on US cars.

And the PD's function is to minimize pressure changes due to the injectors opening and closing, so I can't see how removing it could possibly damage the injectors. Removing it just means fuel pressure will not be as constant as it could be, so mixture could end up slightly more rich/lean than expected.
