injecter screen?
 

hey guys i pulled the intake off my rx7 to find that antifreez leak and i was getting the gasket off the inatake and noticed that one of the little screen looking things on the other side of my injectors was brokenidk how this happend but do i need these things or can i do with out them (pics)

See the attached image. Is item number 9 item what you're referring to? If so, those are air bleed sockets. Apparently, the engine will run without them but not very well. I don't have personal experience with them but that's what I have read. BTW, they are pretty expensive at about $30 a piece.

just send them in to get cleaned/rebuilt
that breaks up the fuel for better mixture to the incoming air. those are your 2ndary right?
the one on your manafold instead of ontop of your engine
primary go into the irons.... secondary are ontop of the intake manafold
its not to expencive to just send them in to get rebuilt and cleand or what ever
its worth it.

My old ones were too brittle to have cleaned - heat and age is no good for plastic. Recycling the o-rings gets trickier with age too. Replace the sockets if they are broken on the top or where the o-rings seat. Replace the o-rings if they are hardened or don't allow the bleed sockets a tight fit. USE CORRECT O-RINGS!!!

I believe you have to keep them - not only for low rpm driveability but mainly cause the injectors won't seat in the fuel rail without the spacing they provide. ~rich

yeah thats my secondary hmm ok thank you that may be why my car wont idle worth a crap.
