Information on Injector Dynamics ID725/ID1000/ID2000 drop-in fitment for stock rails

I just finished exchanging a bunch of emails with Injector Dynamics. As some of you may know, Injector Dynamics sell high impedence injectors nominally rated at 725cc, 1000cc, and 2000cc while being based off the recent Bosch EV14 design.

On the ID website you can order "direct fitment" parts. Here it is for the ID2000: http://www.t1racedevelopment.com/en/...-set,rx-7.html

You want to select the 11mm top in order to drop right in to the factory rail. The 11mm injectors are blue:

When you order "direct fitment" you should receive a cushion so that the injectors will seal properly on the bottom:

The cushion is used instead of the normal 14mm o-ring you would find on say the older Bosch 1680cc injectors. This cushion is also available separately under the fuel delivery-->connectors and accessories section of the site. Here is a pic they provided of how the cushions look when installed (you would not be using a black injector):

For those of you with aftermarket Bosch style rails (such as the KG rail), you want the 14mm top purple injectors:

These will also use the cushion at the bottom to seal properly. For the injector connectors, the ID725 and ID1000 use a Bosch EV6 style connector (also labeled "USCAR")

The ID2000 uses a Denso style connector like you would see on a lot of Hondas:

Paul Yaw has some pretty awesome injectors with those pieces. Every other injector on the market is literally 25 years behind in technology.

i wonder if 4xID2000 injectors would be too much for the stock fuel rails?

Thinking about getting a set of these for my next build, great information!

I loved those injectors and I recommend them to ANYONE.

Im running 4xID2000 injectors on KG rails. This is good info! As I had to learn on my own, I needed the purple tops. Now they fit like a champ!

Great Post and Good Info...

I have one simple question if anyone could help me out...

Currently running PFC with resistors for my low impedence injectors.

Primaries 1000cc
Secondaries 1600cc

Primaries are bad but going with ID 1000cc Blue Top's...

My question is:
Since my current setup has resistors for low impedence injectors, would ID 1000c High Impedence Injectors be of any trouble or would the resistors need to come off for the ID's???

No, so one day, took the SARD fuel rails off and measured them.. so the answer is 11mm ID injectors. :)
thanks,
George
