Induction timeing light doesn't work on just ONE wire?
OK so im checking my timeing today and i noticed that on my T1 wire I get no signal to the timeing light. All other wires work fine, and produce the strobe, but t1 doesn't. I swaped the wires and got the same result. I pulled a spare coil pack, which was out of an S4 n/a, instead of my s4 turbo, but i figured it would work for now. Anyway, same thing happened.
I pulled the wire on each coil pack to check for spark and got the same result on both of them. Spark from the coil to the wire! So I have current going through the wire but for some reason my light wont pick up a signal from just that coil. Any one have any ideas? |
Well after a quick to the parts store, I put in new plugs (well plug) and the thing works fine now. The plug was really gunked up and must not have been providing much of a circut for the spark, I guess this affected the voltage so it wasn't high enough for the induction device to pick it up.
Thats the theory at least. AUG |
