oh almost forgot: 0.5. use the howto in 1300cc.org it is a good place to start

1. please install the fuel filter the correct way... i can not stress that enough. I just replaced the fuel filter on my car and found the filter facing backwards.

2. don't spill any gas(except the stuff in the filter that is a bitch to "block" with hose clamps).

on that note we have 2.5: use hose clamps to block the flow of gas from the gas tank

3. please wear disposable gloves. gasoline, last time i checked had benzene, which is carcinogenic == extremely bad for you ;)

4. install the fuel filter the correct way.

if you follow the 1300cc article and use hoseclamps, you will spill at most only what was in the fuel filter, and on the uncapped ends of the fuel hoses.

Lol. You could also pull the EGI Fuse while the car is running to remove fuel from the lines. Then just hold a cup under there to trap whatever is left over.. I've taken a bath in gasoline and transmission oil, and i'm healthy as an ox.

most of the hesitation is gone now above 5500rpm, now it only occurs at full throttle so i'm going to check the other items on the list.

Hmmm....I hadn't thought about doing that. It beats pulling up the hatch carpet in the back to turn it off...

Does the EGI fuse kill spark? In that case you're flooding the engine. The best way would be to keep spark and kill fuel.

why not just unplug the fuel pump, run the gas out of the lines and your done. thats what i did when i replaced my FF. also if your having hesitation it could also be that damn tiny filter that is on the fuel pump itself, all of my 7's have dirty filter socks. be it a low milage 7 or high, replace those as well.
