im officially confused? and i need help

okay, so here's the background story. Ibought my 7 for 500 bucks. I runs fine and everything but it has a failed inspection sticker and i dont know why. the car has sat since 05 and i am trying to get it road ready at this point in time.

This is where i seek advice. so i go to autozone and get 2 new blinker bulbs for the right side of my car thinking that my blinkers dont work due to simple burnt out bulbs. now keep in mind the left sides blinkers work fine. I put in said new bulbs but nothing. no blinky blinky. WTF. i figure something is wrong with the wring.

Now i go to turn on my headlights to see if the right headlight doesnt work either(dont really know why). It worked fine. now here is where it gets tricky. i put on my driving lights. and my left front blinker doesnt turn on. one that previously turned on when i went to test my blinkers. and then the right side driving light turns on. one that didnt work previously when i tested my blinkers.

Im really confused guys and i need some help. i think this setback is really the only thing keeping my fc off the road at this point.

My only idea is to check ALL the wiring for each lamp that has any issues at any point. Maybe you have a short somewhere. Also possible, unfortunately, is that you have a faulty controller. Search 'turn signal switch' and see if it turns up any weird signal issues like you're having.

check your fuses and there could be a short somewhere. Another possible problem could be that the wires(referring to the blinkers) that connect to the chassis harness are corroded or they clip might be broken or missing a pin. Just a thought.

My car had a bad blinker relay back when I got it. You could hear it click like crazy but no lights would come on. The blinker relay is housed inside the cpu (not to be confused with the ecu) which is behind a kick panel next to the dead pedal. I have a feeling you are experiencing the same problem.

Your headlight problem sounds like it could be a short to power, check your headlight switch and harness for melted wires and connectors.

Do a search. I've seen similar threads with similar problems where marker and headlights were acting bizarrely. You're not alone. :)

lucky they only do emissions on newer cars now, i would always fail ma inspection, had to switch back to all my stock stuff to pass \. you just have to pass safety
