ill this work?

after reading this the solution i came up with was to just run a wire from the s terminal to the b terminal. seemed to be the easiest solution;.

is this do-able? or does it need to be ran to the battery?

Mind explaining what you're trying to do? I'm going to guess you're sticking an S5/S6 alternator into an S4 car, and if so, running power to the S terminal from the B terminal will work. But it will not be a fused power source, so you will have no protection in case of a surge/short. The safer route is to run a small gauge wire from the S terminal to the 30A EGI fuse, 30A retractor fuse or a new 30A fuse stuck in the spare slot in the fuse box.

Or run down to a local auto parts store and get some "fusible link" wire. Like this
