idling at 2k instead of 1500rpm ?!

hey guys,

So i changed the plugs on my cars for the first time ever since i rx7 couple months ago.

while i was doing it i notice the previous owner had it all wrong the setup

2 Trailing plugs on one housing !! wtf

anyways i changed it and the car feels and sounds different more quieter and smoother.

but when i turn it on and after it warms up and i drive of the car in neutral as an idle of 2k instead of 1500k after driving it a for a while it for a while it later goes down.

is this normal ??

thanks

I'm not really sure what you're talking about here, some punctuation might help.

But first of all, why does your car normally idle at 1500? And it sounds like you're asking if it's normal for the idle to be higher before the car warms up? Yes is the answer to that question, assuming you still have your thermowax.

Cold idle should be 1500 RPM & warm idle is 750 RPM. If yours is not this, you can adjust the throttle stop and/or the bypass screw (on TB for NAs, on BAC for TIIs).

Having two trailing plugs in 1 housing really shouldn't effect much.. They're just slightly different temperature plugs. Were the wires switched too.

Were the plug wires right before / are they right now?

Well they are right now. I matched the T1 T2 to housing 1 and the housing 2 respectively.
