Idiot lights all lit up.
Normally I've seen this as an alternator issue... but the alternator is a 6 month old reman. It does it with the spare alternator bolted up as well.
When the key is in the accessory position (not running) All the lights light up on the idiot cluster. They go away when it starts. Been driving like this for 2-3 months now with no starting or stalling problems. Could it just be the joints in the cluster itself going bad? I got rid of all my spare clusters. It works fine under normal conditions such as the brake light, low fuel, coolant etc etc. Just all lights up when you have the key on the 2nd ignition slot. |
they're supposed to do that, it's a diagnostic feature that lets you make sure the bulbs aren't burnt out.

Just about every car on the market will illuminate all its warning lights when the key is in the "ON" position but the car is not running.

That gave me a good chuckle

They should all be on in the ON position when the engine is not running. But not in the ACC position. Sure you got the key positions right??? There is: OFF ACC ON STart. |
Well I've had the car for 2 1/2 years and it just started doing it a few months ago. I guess it's the ON position. The SHIFT UP light illuminates too.
Although... I did replace the computer in the driver side kick panel for the horn about 3 months ago. |
