I Now See The Light

its true what they say "once you go turbo, you dont go back"
ive had my 88 GTU for a little over a year now and this weekend i just bought an 88 Turbo II :-D ($1,500)
Im insanely excited and ive put almost 400 miles on it in less then 48 hours :-)
the car has a vaccum leak somewhere and when you pop the hood you can hear it near the passenger side of the intercooler. its making the car idle low (around 500 rpm) so it stuters and wants to die sometimes but other then that its a great car. any ideas on what the leak could be, before i get in there and check every little thing

turbo's are great. I've never been NA but when my car is down for awhile and I have to drive my brother's XT6 (145HP 2800lb 4WD) I have acceleration withdrawals. TII's are great aren't they? ;) especially the S4's!

You need to check every bit of piping from the AFM to the TB. Most likely is a cracked or loose TID.

Check the vac lines running to the boost sensor as well, and for a temporary fix you can adjust the idle with the idle adjustement screw on the the tb. The first turboed car I rode in was a friends TII. After riding in it I made my decision to go rotary turbo as well. It's a great thing ain't it.
