It's not visible in this pic but in fact, the top of that "wing" is chrome plated and is a solar powered grill- great for burgers in the pits. Any aerodynamic benefits are secondary and just gravy, really. The tailights switch to infrared and can toast a bun in seconds. Those Japanese think of everything. |
I dig them

Mind you this this car is a pure trailer queen, and probably hasnt seen a day of the track in it's life. I've seen much, much worse.
|
if the reds were a deeper color, it wouldnt look to bad. im actually curious to know what the front of this car looks like..... atleast after seeing its ass in 30 different threads.
i will admit i like that body kit and the size of the wheels. colors are CRAP though. |
personally, I like them. not just that, but they're functional, too. Think about it: when driving through heavy fog or rain, you can see the semi trailers with LED lights a hell of alot better than the ones with just round incandescent bulbs.
|
i heard those add 50 bph
|
Everyone keeps posting about those. There was even a post where someone was arguing that they would increase saftey lol. Classic.
Look, if APC sold crap for the FC, those would be in their catalog. |
Hey what is that body kit anyways?
|
Wing is functional for track cars like that, and the lights are badass

I think people need to stop commenting on the car...
The tails look okay, on the right car they would look good. Or maybe some deeper red LED's those look too pink. The orange ones look good though. Check out google for cheap LED sites and some pre-drilled PCB, and you can solder yourself one. http://www.besthongkong.com/ is pretty good for prices on LED's.. You might even be able to retrofit a current 4" tail/trailer light LED fixture into the S5 tails. Anyways, figure I'd post some helpful information. :) |

The tailights switch to infrared and can toast a bun in seconds. Those Japanese think of everything. Does anyone have any pics of what these look like with the brakes being applied or with the turn signals on? Those of you that say these look bad or wouldn't improve visibility might sing another tune after seeing what these lights look like when actually in use and not just at idle. |
