I have no Check & Cut Valve... Good, bad, or I'm lucky to be alive?

Hello, upon doing my vert TII swap I changed every single hose in the car. I dropped the fuel tank to replace the fuel pump (bolts were stripped and rounded, had to drop it) Installed the pump, added fresh hoses and clamps and installed the tank back up. I was reading a thread on re-wiring the fuel pump and began looking at the FSM Fuel and Emissions section, saw the wiring diagrams for the fuel pump and I saw that connected to the evaporation hose is a Check & Cut Valve. Then remembering when I was changing hoses, I know for a fact that I never saw a C&C valve connected to the line. I've been driving my RX for 2 years already and recently did the swap. I read in the FSM that the C&C valve is to hold fuel tank pressure. Is fuel tank pressure important? Is it part of emissions? Am I lucky to be alive? Thanks!

After some research...

My assumption would be that fuel tank pressure is used in relation for gas fill up; the gas pump would know when to continue/stop pumping gas depending on the fuel pressure inside the fuel tank? Or am i completely wrong?

So far i know, check and cut valve controles the presure in the fuel tank.

A fuel line should run to the front of the car to the charcoal canister were it stores the fumes and burn them when the engine is running.
